Add a star rating to your website

A five-star rating for any page, from one line of HTML. Readers rate once per page, and everyone sees the average and the number of ratings.

This is the real widget, rating this page. Try it:

Add a rating

With the Disfora script on the page (see Installation), put this where the rating should appear, for example under the post title:

<div data-disfora-ratings></div>

Each page address gets its own rating, so one line in your post template gives every post its own. Addresses are matched the same way as comments: see how pages are matched.

With comments

For the rating and comments in one place, with the rating above the comments, use the combined container instead:

<div id="disfora-widget"></div>

To place them apart, use one container for each:

<h1>Your post title</h1>
<div data-disfora-ratings></div>

<!-- your article -->

<div data-disfora-comments></div>

How readers rate

  • The rating shows the average and the number of ratings, or No ratings yet.
  • Readers sign in with their Disfora account to rate, with Google or an email code. That's one rating per reader per page, so the average reflects real readers.
  • Tapping another star changes their rating. Remove my rating takes it back.
  • The stars work with a keyboard too: the arrow keys move between them and Enter picks one.

The rating uses your project's styles, like the rest of the widget.

See your ratings

The Pages screen in your project lists every page with its average rating and the number of ratings. Your team also gets a notification for each new rating, which each person can turn off in their notification settings.

To send ratings to your own systems, subscribe a webhook to rating.submitted. It fires for a new rating and for a changed one, with the previous rating.

Disfora doesn't add review stars to your search results. The rating is drawn by JavaScript after the page loads, and Disfora doesn't add structured data to your page.
