A full export
Hyvor Talk exports everything as JSON, and comments in WordPress's format. Disfora has no export yet: webhooks send each new comment to your server as it's posted instead.
Hyvor Talk has no free plan, and its price rises with every page view that loads your comments. Disfora renders in your page the same way, and is free for one site whatever your traffic.

Hyvor Talk is a good, privacy-focused comment system from Paris. It renders in your page, has no ads, and does more than comments: ratings, memberships and a newsletter.
It's priced in credits, and every page view that loads the comments uses one. The cheapest plan, €5 a month billed yearly, covers 2,500 a month, about 80 page views a day. Spam checks use credits too, and after two months in a row over the limit, comments are switched off until the next month or an upgrade.
Removing the Hyvor Talk branding, and letting readers use your site's own accounts, both need the Business plan, from €40 a month.
Disfora is priced by sites, not traffic. Comments, page views, votes and form submissions are unlimited on every plan, including the free one, so a post that takes off doesn't change your bill.

Readers can pay for a membership through Stripe to unlock gated posts, and sign up to your newsletter from the comment section. Disfora has neither.

In the Hyvor Talk console, open Export under Tools or Settings and download your comments in the WordPress XML format, plus the full JSON export to keep.
Delete its script tag and the hyvor-talk-comments element, or deactivate the Hyvor Talk plugin on WordPress.
Create a free account, start a project and enter your domain. No card needed.
Paste the script tag once, and put an empty container where the comments should go. On WordPress, install the Disfora plugin instead: it does this for you.
Prove the site is yours with a meta tag, a file or a DNS record. Comments start showing straight away.
Readers sign in with Google or an email code. To let them comment with just a name too, add free Cloudflare Turnstile keys in Settings and turn on guest comments.
Disfora imports WordPress exports, and Hyvor Talk can export comments in WordPress's XML format, but we haven't tested a Hyvor Talk file yet. Upload it under Import comments in your project's settings: a file Disfora can't read is turned away before anything is imported.
If your comments don't come across, tell us: it decides which importers we build next. Keep the JSON export either way.
Webhooks send every comment to your own server as it's posted, edited or deleted, as signed JSON. They're on the free plan, so your comments don't have to live only in someone else's database.
