Add comments to a Webflow site

Add the script in your site's custom code, then put a Code Embed with the container on your blog's collection template page. Every CMS post then gets its own comment thread.

Before you start

  • A Disfora project for your site. Create a free account, start a project and enter your domain. You'll verify it once the code is live.
  • A paid Webflow site plan. Custom code and Code Embed elements aren't available on the free plan.

1. Add the script

Open Site settings → Custom code and paste this into Footer code, then save:

Footer code
<script src="https://disfora.com/public/disfora.js" async></script>

2. Add a Code Embed to the post template

In the Designer, open the template page for your blog collection, for example Blog Posts Template. From the Add panel, drag a Code Embed element below the post's rich text and paste:

Code Embed
<div data-disfora-comments></div>

Save and publish. The Designer shows the embed as an empty box; the comments only appear on the published site. Each post's thread belongs to its address, so every item in the collection gets its own.

For a star rating too, add a second Code Embed under the post title with <div data-disfora-ratings></div>.

3. Verify your domain

Use the meta tag method: paste the tag from your Disfora dashboard into Head code on the same Custom code screen, publish, then click Verify in Disfora. Verify the domain your site is published on, not the webflow.io staging address. See verifying your domain for the other methods.
